As a spiritual leader, Laura has been active in developing egalitarian Sephardi practice in New York, Boston and Paris over the last fours years.
 

In collaboration with Natalie Haziza, she led the first Egalitarian Sephardi/Mizrahi Yom Kippur service in Boston in 2019 with the support of Kavod Boston and the first in person Rosh Hashana Egalitarian Sephardi/Mizrahi service in NYC in 2020 with the support of the JFREJ Mizrahi Caucus. 
 

Over the years, she has co-organized and co-led Shabat, Selichot, Baqashot services with Natalie Haziza, Anat Hochberg, Galeet Dardashti, Rachel Musleah, Shirly Bahar, Hannah Aliza Goldman and many community organizers. 
 

With a growing community, this year she led high holiday services at Congregation Beth Elohim in Brooklyn with the support of JVP, If Not Now, JFREJ Mizrahi Caucus, drawing hundreds of people to Egal Sephardi practice.
